An M8 'hand-builders' bolt hole replaces the 'mass-producers' sloppy-fitting M10 hole. This improves the bolt to washer seating & so reduces the stress concentrations on the bolt & washer. The extra height on the folded edges provides for increased longitudinal stiffness. Whats more : No more visibly chewed / rounded bolt-heads. Stainless Steel gives low corrosison in the underbody environment - and looks good.! A big improvement in long term maintainability and durability.
